False Hope veteran squad ambushing 2 Tau hammerhead gunships near the outskirt of a secluded village on the planet of Khaldo, eastern fringe. The medieval planet of Khaldo had always been considered as a part of Tau territory due to 3 main reason. 1-the Tau sees the neglected imperial world as a fresh source of guevesa soldiers fighting for them on various Tau borders. 2- the Tau wishes to convert the dark age planet into a heavily militarized outpost for further dominance over the sector 3- The Tau earth caste recently uncover a rare mineral in Khaldo which is 3 times more effective than their current plasma catalyst, they wishes to take over the world's mineral trade and denied its use to the Imperium.
words spread fast. sensitive Guard tacticians uncovered the truth and regiments began to deploy on Khaldo to counter the Tau threat. False Hope Phantom XIV, a new regiment founded out of the remnants of False Hope Phantom XI, which is decorated for their exploits in killing many Tau during their 2 campaigns; had been deployed to the eastern quadrant of Khaldo, as well as other regiments like the Mecurian Heavy, the Nafiz Greyguards, the Cadian 555th, the Gazzarian grenadiers, etc. on different parts of the planet. the war for Khaldo had just begun.
as with the previous art, the Tau letters of the hull of the gunships mean something. Kudos to whoever that find out. ^^

As the Uplifting Primer tells us, those cannons are only as strog as a Lasgun, and their armour as strong as a tin can. So, eight grenades tied together should do the trick, eh guys?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

some artists are assholes because they are self concious of their skill in art; and they don't need YOUR validation to massage their ego
Looks kick ass, love the perspective as well as the build up to the scene. Cant wait to see more to your codex artwork.
