and also... when i watch the film Lord of The Rings, i was fascinated by the appearance of the Haradrim and the Rhun soldiers. Looks very eastern and evil. And i always wanted to draw something like that.
The sons of sek, in my view, is sort of combining the haradrim and the witch king nazgul armour. making it look tough yet evil.
These are heavy infantry that is a shameless direct copy of the Bloodpact and Imperial Guard soldier. Not mere cultist. They have the speed, the tactics, the armor, the lasgun, the boyonet, the mindset and most importantly, the savagery. In Traitor General (spoilers ahead!), the sons of sek are unleashed upon the Gereon resistance to test their mettle. None of the resistance survived. These bastards will close in on you so fast that it will all be hand-to-hand combat in a flash and you don't really wanna face a son of sek with his bayonet attached. What make them so great is their drill, the vigorous drill their "commissar" supervised so that they are always ready.
In the fiction by Dan Abnett, Magister Sek wish to overthrow Urlock Gaur as the new archon of the sabbat world crusade and these soldiers are his personal army, answer only to the anarch himself. make no mistake, Magister Sek is the most brilliant tactician ever during the crusade, better than Slaydo himself. ^^
